TESTING
WHAT IS A TEST DAY?

A Test Day is a specified time or day, which is set aside to allow skaters taking tests to perform in front of judges or evaluators. Judges or evaluators are usually former skaters who have undergone training administered by Skate Canada. A Preliminary, Intermediate or Senior level skater in the STARSkate program is entitled to try Skate Canada tests.

Attending a Test Day determines if the skater is eligible to move on to the next test level.

Remember that not every skater will participate in each & every test day. The skater's name is submitted by the coach to the Test Day Chairperson, when the coach determines that he/she is prepared to perform, at an acceptable level, all elements of a specific test. The coach will advise the skater as to which tests are being submitted & a Test Envelope must be completed & handed in to the Test Day Chairperson with the necessary monies by a specific date. Checking with your coach will keep you informed as to the progress the skater is making.
